A Shifty Character

From The New York Times:

“Pope Says He Will Not Judge Gay Priests”

ROME — Striking a breathtakingly conciliatory approach to a hot-button issue that has divided Catholics, Pope Francis on Monday said that he would not judge priests for their sexual orientation. ‘If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?’ Francis said, according to media reports.” http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/30/world/europe/pope-francis-gay-priests.html

The news is sure to please gay lobbyists in the Vatican, other gay activists, and organizations such as the Man-Boy Love Association.

Just a month or two ago, Francis said: “But there also is a stream of corruption, there is that as well, it is true… The “gay lobby” is mentioned, and it is true, it is there… We need to see what we can do…”

Surprise! What we can do about the gay lobby is legitimise it! Now there’s a profound solution to the misbehavior—accept it!

Francis is, as Wm. F. Buckley once wrote of another, “A man of his most recent word.”
