A Christmas Verse

A Christmas Verse

All things have seasons and times ‘neath the sun:
But Christmas the time God sent us His son:
This season th’ glory His we recreate
A time to love, and to cast away hate,
A time for family, friends to gather
A time our love we joyfully aver
A time to treasure those we have present
A time to cherish those we love absent
A time to cherish those we loved and lost
Friends, family who’ve paid the mortal cost
A time to weep, a season we to mourn
A time to heal and to aside lay scorn
A time to sing and a season to pray
A time to celebrate our Lord’s birthday
A season to hope and a time to give
A time to forget, a time to forgive
A time for our love of Him to renew
Ahead of th’ noiseless scythe that is time’s rue
